project film production dissimation imprint

From summer 2004 to spring 2005, fifteen young people from four countries (Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia) produced a film about the future of Europe in the project "Young Visions for Europe". In several workshops in Germany, Poland and Czech Republic young people have developed new ideas and visions of Europe. Their working process was supported by a film team and EU experts.

In the first workshop fears and negative aspects regarding the EU-enlargement were elaborated. These fears were based on: the different economic power, the concern about loss of identity and culture, prejudice and clichés and finally historical differences existing between the countries. On the other hand, they had a positive vision about living together in Europe determined by equal rights.

In a second workshop young people developed a film script based on their ideas. In several acted scenes and street interviews in Berlin, Poznan, Cracow, Bratislava, Sumperk and Prague they created an atmospheric picture of Europe's future. An exciting film on opinions and visions of young people in Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia was produced.
